Do you want to make audio CDs for playing it in your personal stereo? Why waste money on getting new audio CDs? If you already have MP3 files in your computer get an audio converter immediately by which you can convert your MP3 files to CDA format. An MP3 CD converter is a CD burning software.that will make conventional audio CD from your downloaded MP3 collection. The CD converter will burn your favorite MP3 collections and help you to make your own customized CD that you can play on your home HP-FI or car CD players.

MP3 files are compressed files and are not always made originally and they do not have the best sound quality. CDAs are uncompressed files and appear mostly on purchased CDs. Therefore they have a good sound quality and can be played on all CD players.

To convert MP3 to CDA, besides a converter you need to have certain other systems like a Pentium 200 PC with 32M RAM, a CD writer, Windows NP, Windows XP and Internet Explorer 4.0 and DirectX 9.0.

Using a converter to turn MP3 to CDA is an easy process. If you have installed a good converter your audio CDs are just a few clicks away. A quality converter has the following features:

A converter has perfect MP3 decoding quality, which will enable you to get a good sound quality in your audio CD.

The volume level of the CD will remain the same even if MP3 tracks are recorded from different sources and have different volumes.

An MP3 CD converter can rip your favorite audio tracks from different CDs and burn them into a single disk. So you can hear all your favorite tracks within a single CD without changing the disk.

MP3 CD converters have a mini player system by which you can listen to the MP3 files before burning them.

MP3 to CDA is converted in disk-at-once mode, which is supported by most CD writers.

The converter has a powerful searching function; it can locate the MP3 files in local disk.

No temporary disc space is required to convert MP3 to CDA. Also you dont have to convert MP3 files to WAV format first; it can be done directly.

The converter supports different audio format like WAVE, M4A, MPEG, AVI, WMA etc other than MP3.

It also supports ID3V1 AND ID3V2 tag and larger scale CD-ROM devices.

You must know that an MP3 converter is a shareware. So if you want to use the full function of MP3 CD converter you will need registration. The registration fee costs $19.95. Only after getting a registration code you can use this software.

You can burn about 13 to 15 songs in CD as a CD can hold up to 75 minutes of audio. So make your own audio CD and enjoy listening your favorite songs on home music system, car stereo and also on portable CD player.

Don’t Ignore Achilles Heel Pain

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: — admin @ 8:18 am

You don’t have to be an elite athlete to suffer Achilles tendon injuries. They can occur even from performing minor household tasks, such as climbing a ladder. According to the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), Achilles tendon weakness is common in adults and prompt treatment when symptoms occur can prevent more serious injury.

“The Achilles tendon is the longest and strongest tendon in the body, but is subjected to considerable wear and tear,” said Gerald Travers, DPM, FACFAS, a foot and ankle surgeon in Colorado Springs. “When the tendon becomes inflamed from overuse or too much sudden stress, tendonitis can weaken it over time and cause microscopic tears,” said Travers. “Going without treatment increases risk for further deterioration and possible rupture.”

According to the ACFAS consumer Web site, FootPhysicans.com, pain, stiffness and tenderness in the area are the main symptoms of Achilles tendonitis. Pain occurs in the morning, improves with motion but gets worse with increasing stress and activity.

“In addition to athletes, Achilles problems are common for anyone whose work routine puts constant stress on the feet and ankles,” said Travers. “These injuries happen most often to less conditioned, ‘weekend warrior’ athletes who overdo it. But I’ve also had patients who have ruptured the tendon simply by climbing a ladder quickly.”

When pain and other symptoms indicate possible Achilles tendonitis, Travers said a foot and ankle surgeon will make a thorough diagnosis and evaluate flexibility and range of motion in the tendon. Treatment options vary depending on severity and include casting, ice, anti-inflammatory pain medication, physical therapy and surgery if other options fail.

Travers noted recreational activities involving jumping and running are the major cause of Achilles tendon injuries. “In sports like basketball and tennis, muscles and tendons in the back of the leg are prone to injury from an imbalance that occurs from a lot of forward motion. The imbalance can weaken the tendon unless stretching exercises are performed regularly.”

He added the best ways to prevent Achilles tendon injuries are to warm up gradually by walking and stretching. Further, it’s best to avoid strenuous sprinting or hill running if you are not in shape for it.

Washington Redskins 2006 Preview

The Washington Redskins had a pretty good season last year. In 2005, they won some games they shouldnt have, but they made it to the playoffs. While their defense played above their talent level, the offense was a bit lacking at times. Will this year be any different? Lets figure it out by breaking down the main units of the teams.

Quarterbacks

Whos the quarterback? Mark Brunell is getting up there in years, and he is not consistent. Hes 36 years old, and he showed signs of wear last season. Expect him to play well in the first 5-8 games of the season and tail off. If he gets hurt or tires, who takes his place? The answer is Todd Collinsif you call that an answer. Collins is a decent backup, but thats it. The Redskins are about average in this area.

Running Backs

The Redskins are above average in the running game thanks to Clinton Portis. I look for him to have a solid year running the ball. They have solid players in the fullback position. The running game could become the bright spot in the offense this year. Manuel White, fullback, broke his leg last year. Hes going to get a shot to produce this season. If he can stay healthy, White will be a great addition to the running game.

Receivers

Is this receiving core worth anything? On the surface, it seems like the Redskins are just about average in the receiving game, but there lies more beneath. They acquired Antwaan Randle El from the Steelers. He might be just what they need to stretch the opposing defenses even further. Between Randle El and Santana Moss, opposing defenses could have their hands full. The downside is that Randle El also has the potential to be a big bust.

Defense and Special Teams

The defense is expected to perform well in 2006. The secondary is above average. Shawn Springs is 31 now, and he can still cover well. His main problem is staying healthy. Carlos Rogers showed the potential to justify his being picked number one in the 2005 draft. The rest of the defense is pretty average. They need to perform above their potential to give the Redskins a real shot to win important games.

2006 Prediction

I think last season was a fluke. The Redskins were the recipients of some lucky bounces. I count 5 games that they could have easily losta few of those they should have. The fact is; the 2005 Redskins could have been 7-11 or 6-12. Not much has changed for them this year and their schedule is much tougher. There are only four games against pretty weak opponentsNew Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Houston Texans and St. Louis Rams. Even those four games arent guaranteed. The Redskins should fight for the cellar in the NFC East this season. Getting to 8-8 will be a real accomplishment. The playoffs are going to have to wait until at least 2007 for this team.

Family Camping: How To Have Better Family Camping Trips

Copyright 2006 Karin Manning

If you can put up with being asked Are we there yet? precisely 57 times on the way, you can be assured that you and your children can have the experience of a lifetime camping together.

A family camping trip with kids is a lot of work but also a lot of fun and the more prepared you are the better time you and your kids will have.

Here are 20 quick and easy ways to entertain children every minute while on a family camping vacation.

1. Hold a selection of secret treasures in a surprise box. Add one or two new ones every day for added enjoyment.

2. Take your video camera. If you dont have on then think about hiring one.

3. Teach your children about bush survival and safety around the camp site. Encourage help with meal preparation but always supervise them around the fire as it is a very dangerous place.

4. Always bring a bug jar.

5. Bring along some toy zoo animals and let your children create their own zoo in the wild.

6. Bring some glow in the dark necklaces and torches. Bring along glow sticks for night lights. If your children are scared of the dark then tie a glow stick from the top of your tent.

7. Bring a constellation chart and try and find different stars at night.

8. Bring along scrabble, memory games and a deck of cards.

9. Create a scavenger hunt.

10. Have a nature hike giving each child a list of items to collect.

11. Have a flashlight dance in the spotlight.

12. Allocate one soft small bag per child to put their favourite items in like colouring books, pencils, reading books, etc.

13. Have a special childrens tape handy in the car for just that moment when the car (heaven forbid) breaks down, your tyre goes flat, or you get stuck in a traffic jam.

14. Let your children be involved in the planning and if they see places theyd like to go to or explore think of their needs as well. The more well-rounded your trip is the more fun every member of your family will have as a whole. Remember, this is a time for family togetherness so as long as you are together thats the main thing.

15. Bring along a pack of pipe cleaners which amuse kids for hours. They can turn them into numbers, letters, animals, bugs etc. Theyre only limited by their imagination.

16. Let each child create a little camp diary where they can do drawings, write stories, stick in pictures, glue in pieces of nature, etc.

17. Get your children involved by collecting water, grating cheese, setting the picnic blanket, collecting firewood, washing the vegetables, etc. You can even create a little competition and split chores into groups and keep a tally for your whole trip.

18. Bring along a couple of flashlights for some after dark exploring. Remember at night there is a whole different world of wildlife out there.

19. Keep teenagers happy by letting them bring Game Boys, walkmans, their favourite books and magazines, etc. Teenagers are renowned for wanting to spend time alone so let them. Theyll usually come out when theyve had enough of their own company and if theyve done something they wanted to do theres less chance that theyll whinge (hopefully).

20. Allow each member of the family to choose a meal and help fix it.

History of Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is plastic surgery that can be used to improve the look of the nose or improve its function. Cosmetic rhinoplasty makes the nose more beautiful, while medical rhinoplasty improves the function of the nose and is referred to as reconstructive rhinoplasty. The word rhinoplasty originates from two Greek words: rhinos and plastikos. Rhinos means nose in Greek and plastikos means to shape.

The first known instances of successful rhinoplasty were carried out in India in 600 B.C. An Indian surgeon named Sushata Samgita used surgery and skin reconstructions to improve the shape of noses that had been injured or cut off. Cutting of the nose or nose tip was a common way of punishing thieves in India during this period of time. The injured nose served as a warning to others and the convicts naturally wished to have their noses restored. By surgically reshaping noses and transplanting skin, Sushata Samgita made it possible for convicts to get a fresh start and live a life where they were not stigmatized by their previous conviction.

Today, cosmetic rhinoplasty is commonly used to make noses smaller, change their shape, lift up the nose tip, get rid of a humpback nose, take away a hanging septum, adjust a concave nose profile or make the overall nose appearance smoother. Fashion, injuries and birth defects are three common reasons behind rhinoplasty.

Successful rhinoplasty requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of the various functions carried out by the human nose. All the different parts of the nose serve specific purposes and a skilled rhinoplasty surgeon will know how to reshape a nose without harming any of these important functions.

Some types of rhinoplasty can be performed under local anaesthetic, but sedation is also very common. Being sedated for 0.5-2 hours is common during rhinoplasty and after this you will typically have to spend eight hours in bed. How long you will be sedated will of course depend on the particular operation.

Rhinoplasty should not be carried out if you have suffered from a cold during the last two weeks, since this increase the risk of rhinoplasty complications. Aspirin and similar blood thinning medications should be avoided during the last few weeks prior to your rhinoplasty, since they decrease the bloods ability to clot and cam make surgery more dangerous. Informing your surgeon about all the medications that you are currently using is very important. Your surgeon must also know about any allergies, illness or unusual reactions to previous surgery.

During rhinoplasty, the incisions are often made from the inside rim of the nostrils to make them invisible. During some forms of rhinoplasty, incisions must also be made on the rime of the nose, but such incisions are usually very tiny and will not be noticed once they have healed properly. Sometimes the surgeon needs to add extra material to re-shape the nose of the patient. This material will preferably be taken from the patients own body and can consist of cartilage as well as bone material. It is also possible to use artificial materials to reshape the nose during rhinoplasty.

An Adult Bedwetting Message Board Find Out How Others Are Coping

An adult bedwetting message board and chat line is an easy way for adults coping with enuresis to get helpful ideas from others in the same situation. There are many sites on the Internet that deal specifically with adult bed wetting issues. These sites often have medical doctors who reply to patients questions and offer helpful advice. Here adults can read the messages from other males and females and may get the answers they need without having to send any message. An adult bedwetting message board is anonymous, so none of your friends will know about your problem.

You can simply do an online search for Adult Bedwetting Message and the results will show you many message boards set up for this purpose. Here you will find messages about all kinds of bedwetting issues and read the advice that the doctors and other adults offer. Maybe one or more of the experiences may be identical or similar to your situation. This will not only help you find a solution, but will also give you relief in knowing that there are other adults with bed wetting problems.

There are also different products you can use to keep you dry at night, such as disposable bedwetting diapers and liners, but you need to buy the ones that are right for you. For example, adult male bedwetting requires different products than for female bedwetting simply because of the differences in the male and female bodies. An adult bed wetting message board is also a way of finding out about the different products and how most adults feel about using them. When you want to post a message on an adult bedwetting message board, you will probably have to register. However, you can feel secure in knowing that your information will never be made public.

The Urology Forum is a good example of an adult bedwetting message board that is monitored by a doctor. Using an adult bed wetting message board should never take the place of consulting with a doctor about your bed wetting problem. Whether it is something that occurred all of a sudden or developed over time, it could be symptomatic of a more serious problem and you need to have the necessary medical tests to get the proper treatment. It could also be a symptom of a condition that is easy to treat and you could be suffering through bed wetting episodes needlessly. Adult male bedwetting is often a source of embarrassment to men and they have a hard time dealing with it. It usually takes a lot for them to speak to a doctor about bedwetting and for these people a message board can be really helpful.

An adult bedwetting message board is not just about bedwetting. Here you can find answers to questions about all kinds of bladder and kidney related problems. Adult male bedwetting, painful urination and other topics are open for discussion. The answer you want may be waiting for the click of the mouse when you start using an adult bedwetting message board. You might also be able to help others and reassure them that they are not alone.

Just An Expensive Electronic Brochure Or A Profitable Site?

Most websites are just expensive electronic brochures that do very little or nothing for the business concerned.

It is strange how business sense seems to go out of the window when it comes to the internet and the world wide web.

The internet and internet protocols (IP) provide many businesses – especially those in the SME sector – the chance to improve their productivity and profitability dramatically. But too many see it as “too difficult” or “too expensive” or something that they just “don’t [want to?] understand”.

They have been however convinced that they “must have a website or they are not even in the game”.

Yet too many businesses’ whilst they have ignored the opportunities that IP offers them at such a reasonable cost, once they have built their website then proceed to ignore that!

It’s very strange. How many businesses would say?

* ‘Let’s build a new store and then leave it empty’;

* ‘Let’s plan a direct mail campaign buy all the kit and then not bother to buy the stamps to send it out’;

* ‘Let’s pay for the stock and then just store it’.

Yet those are the equivalents of building and paying for a website and then not promoting it effectively in ALL advertising and promotions INCLUDING the world wide web itself.

One can see why people think it might not be worth the effort. There are over 55,000,000 top level domains on the web. There are nearly 12,000,000,000 web pages with about 10,000,000 added daily! On the other hand web based business is growing at 15 – 25% compound annually

There are millions of web searches by millions of people every day [See Google Zeitgeist to get a flavour of what people search for - the other 'big cats' Yahoo and MSN also have similar pages.] Please ignore the fact that the most popular searches are actors and news etc. What do you expect? There are plenty of more ‘mainstream business’ searches too.

Some examples of the other UK searches that are done:

- Builder over 150,000 times in May 2005 – builder Bristol 57 times.

- Fashion over 800,000 times – far too many for me to bother with says the local retailer. Oh yeah! Click here – notice what the search engines can do now!

- Hotel was searched for over 5,000,000 times in May 2005. Hotel Bath was searched for 1,652 times; Bath Spa hotel 497 times, hotel Bath England 263 times and hotel Bath UK 228 times and there are a bucket load of results in the 100 plus searches category.

Over 85% of people use a search engine to find their way around the internet the majority use Google but Yahoo and MSN also have very large numbers of followers and cannot be ignored. There are also thousands of smaller general and specialized search engines and directories that are regulalry used.

If you are not working the search engines, familiarising yourself and your business with Pay per Click marketing, building up your prospect and customer email list and using your website to generate prospects that lead to sales then why bother having a website?

So you will ask how do we go about all of this?

Clearly the obvious answer is ask us to do it!

But a few tips are probably more what you were looking for! So:

- Look at your web marketing plan as a long-term effort to grow your site to be the best most comprehensive (local / regional / national / interactive / amusing / something) resource on your product or service.

- Be clear about what makes your site better and more valuable to your site visitors.

- Make sure each page within your site targets and is optimized for only one or two keyword phrases each.

- Use 2 – 6 word phrases instead of one-word keywords and you’ll get more targeted visitors as well. Search your top keyword phrases on the various search engines so that you are aware of the competition and the volume of sites already successfully ranking for the terms you are targeting.

- Use this information to help you with Pay per Click campaign development.

- Add new information to your site regularly. Resources, white papers and tips not only add value but will naturally work wonders as keyword targeted pages. Offer the type of information those seeking your product or service will find useful and search for and that other sites will want to link to. You need to have well written content of value; not keyword stuffed ramblings.

- Use the resources and downloads you offer to build your database.

Finally, just one other point - it doesn’t “happen the next day”. The technology is fast but search engines are programmed to provide the most relevant results – that means they realise that longevity is important and expect that good sites understand that they have to be ‘proven’ to rise up their rankings.

Food Glorious Food

The most enjoyable events are often those in which the food is divine. Oliver Twist said, Please Sir, can I have some more? And although it is doubtful that you will be serving gruel at your next catered event, youll want your guests feeling pleased.

If Woody Allen is on your guest list, be certain to alert your catering service when you sit to menu plan. Allen has made it very clear, I will not eat oysters. I want my food dead. Not sick, not wounded, dead.” Perhaps Woody Allen would prefer to eat your mothers fruitcake; some caterers will prepare family favorites upon request. According to Harper’s Index, 1991, the ratio of the density of the average fruitcake to the density of mahogany is 1:1.

Henry miller wrote, “Americans will eat garbage provided you sprinkle it liberally with ketchup.” Well, maybe not exactly garbage but Richard Nixon liked ketchup on his cottage cheese.

President Franklin D. Roosevelts catering service knew that the English adored their sausages when hot dogs were served to King George VI of England during his 1939 visit to the United States.

Jimmy Carter is pleased that It takes about 550 peanuts to make a 12 ounce jar of creamy peanut butter. People who become hysterical when peanut butter sticks to the roof of their mouth have ‘arachibutyrophobia’. If someone attending your catered event has a tendency to suffer from this condition, be certain to alert your caterer about this dietary restriction.

If you are planning to request that your catering service provide ice cream at your event, remind your guests not to eat too quickly because they may get a very painful headache. This is caused by blood vessel spasms which are triggered by the intense cold from the ice cream. The resulting headache is much the same as a migraine – the spasms interrupt the blood flow and cause the vessels to swell.

Quiche is a popular item to serve at events. Depending on how many guests will be attending your event, it is good to know how large a quiche can be: The largest being a quiche made in Paris, November 22, 1997. Chef Alain Marcotullio used 125 quarts of milk, 1,928 eggs, 156 pounds of bacon, 134 pounds of butter, and more than 140 pounds of flour to make the world’s largest quiche. It baked for over 18 hours and fed more than 125 people.

Since you cannot book the late Chef Boyardee (born in Italy, worked at the Plaza and the Ritz-Carlton in New York) to cater your event, browse the The Catering Services Directory for a caterer near you.

The History Of The Venetian Mask

The history of the Venetian Mask is one which sounds as though it stems from fairytale or legend but which goes to show that sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

Way back in the 13th Century, Venice was more than just a small city in Italy. It was a very important part of Italy and was known by the name of the Venetian Republic. This Republic was small, with a population in the region of 150,000 people. Nonetheless, the Republic had a very successful trade, which was ship building, and was able to produce one battleship in as little as thirty days. This was a very fast turnaround, made possible by the fact that the shipyards employed 15,000 of the local residents, a staggering ten per cent of the state’s overall population. In addition to the shipyards, the Venetian Republic required workforces in all other aspects of daily life. The Republic was a well oiled machine which functioned smoothly and well and this meant that the citizens of the Venetian Republic were wealthy and successful. This wealth, luxury and extravagance, coupled with the beauty of the state, made the Republic very appealing to the rest of the world.

It was this wealth that was to bring about the tradition of the Venetian mask. Over time, the citizens of the Venetian Republic began to realise that if they concealed their identity they became able to carry out their daily lives in secrecy and without fear of retribution. With so much personal wealth in the state, people often found themselves making deals and agreements with other citizens outside of the eyes of the law. With the population as small as it was, many wanted to carry out such deals as these without other people knowing their business, and so the wearing of a mask became popular.

Once people began to see others wearing masks, it became apparent that they could hold additional benefits. When wearing a mask your identity is concealed and so your social status is not known to others. This allowed servants and business owners to be treated equally and prevented any form of inequality or prejudice. It also allowed all of the citizens of the Republic to have their say on matters which were important to them, allowing them to remain anonymous in the process. This was mutually beneficial to both the citizens and officials visiting the city, who were able to receive honest answers to their questions from the whole spectrum of residents. Soon, all of the city’s residents were wearing masks to go about their daily lives.

This mutual benefit for all of wearing masks was not to last long though. It did not take long for people to start to take advantage of the concealment of their identity and to benefit from their anonymity. Knowing that there were to be no repercussions of their actions, as no-one could be identified, the society began to behave more lavishly and without fear. As a busy city with travellers and business visitors descending upon them daily, sexual promiscuity became common place and gambling was known to be occurring all through the day and the night, all over the city. In fact, gambling was even occurring in convents and was undertaken by men, women and even children. Homosexuality was starting to spread throughout the Republic and was not condemned there as it was in the rest of the country. Women were able to flaunt their sexuality in revealing clothing and engaged in promiscuous behaviour. Even those who had taken religious vows, such as monks and nuns, were undertaking the same activities as the rest of the population, wearing fashionable outfits, gambling and prostituting themselves.

The capital of Italy, Rome, knew about the activities which were occurring in the Venetian Republic but for some time chose to ignore them as long as the Republic was continuing to make regular and substantial financial deposits. However, a decision was finally reached to ban the wearing of masks throughout the majority of the year, only permitting it in a three month period from the 26th December onwards. Over time this has been gradually lessened and is now more commonly associated with week long festivities known as Carnevale, or Mardi Gras.

7 Great Money Tips To Lead You To Financial Freedom

Copyright 2006 David Maillie

Regardless of where we are in life we can all learn something about money and how to better prepare for our future. Especially when we see that the national average is $10,000 in credit card debt and that savings and preparedness is dropping. This article can put you back on track to a more fulfilling and financially free life.

1) Automate your investing. Experience has proven that if we have to make a conscious effort every time we need to invest we will start with good intentions and then miserably fail a few months later. If you can automate your savings, whether by using your employers 401k, a sep (self employment plan), or direct deductions from your account you will finish ahead. The rule here is if you don’t see it, you won’t realize it and you won’t miss it. Some of these deductions will reduce your taxable income and save you further on taxes (see your CPA and tax advisor for more info on this). A good rule of thumb is to set aside 10% of your income.

2) Real estate. If you haven’t already, buy a house. Renting will only make your landlord (hint – house owner) rich. Regardless of what the immediate market does real estate is one of the best long term investments you can make. It also has many advantages including deductions for mortgage interest. Real estate will always go up. People will always need a roof over their head. Just watch HGTV, real estate has made many millionaires and is a key factor in almost every tape and book series on gaining wealth. Stick with the standard 30 year fixed mortgage.

3) Medical and life insurance. You need to have them, if you think you don’t just ask anyone that didn’t have it when something unexpected happened. If you love your family, they are a must. But, on that note, don’t get taken. Buy term life. 20 years will give good term coverage and if you follow all of these tips you won’t need anything beyond that. Whole life only makes your agent rich and really never builds any value for the huge costs involved. Term life can be purchased cheap over the internet at great savings. For medical insurance, in most states Blue Cross and Blue Shield offer great plans that are a fraction of Cobra or employer plans. If you have an adequate employer plan, by all means use it. Stick with big names like Blue Cross as they will be around for years.

4) Don’t ever buy new cars. It is a fact that new cars lose 25-30% of their value the moment you drive it off the lot. Let someone else pay for that depreciation and get a two or three year old car or truck. With the latest technological advances cars can easily go 150,000 miles and above. A two or three year old vehicle with 30,000 miles on it will save you not only in initial cost, but also on your insurance, and taxes. Also do your homework before buying your car. Get your credit score and see what loans you qualify for. This can easily be done right off the internet and will save you big at your local dealer (never take a dealers word for your credit and rate – they will hold 1-3 points on rate and that can mean thousands in extra interest over the term of the loan).

5) Get out of debt. I put the investment tips above this as you need to pay yourself first. If you are overwhelmed with debt, their are numerous non-for-profit agencies that will renegotiate your debt and terms on your behalf. Work out a plan to get the high interest debt paid off. Be wiser with your purchases – do you really need that 60 inch flat screen tv? a BMW you cannot afford? etc… Cut up all cards but 1 (for emergencies you should have 1 credit card) and no store cards. The whole purpose behiind store cards is to entice you to buy more and pay more. My grandfather said it best – “if you can’t afford it, don’t buy it.” The only good loan to have is a mortgage.

6) Never burn bridges. If you happen to leave your current employ, leave on good terms. Find a replacement if time permits. This will put you in a good light with your former management and can result in a good reference, another job, a callback for more money, etc… Never leave on bad terms. Its just not good Kharma. Also, it won’t hurt to take former business associates and customers to lunch regularly. This will keep you in tune to the industry, give you many additional contacts afford you future favors – just think of the lobbyists on Capital Hill, you don’t think they spend all that money on their politicians for nothing do you? Don’t be afraid to ask for a favor every once in a while. Kharma is the big rule here -when you help others you will inadvertently help yourself.

7) Give back. Once you’ve made it it is only fair that you help others less fortunate than yourself. Regardless of your beliefs when you donate time and money to help others you will inadvertently help yourself. You will feel great. Also, the cardinal rule of kharma is that when you give you will get many more times what you give back. Take the time to help by volunteering your time. Even if it is 1 hour a week, you will help improve someone else’s life. Volunteer, it will make you a better person.

Training To Be A Better Court Volleyball Player

To be a great court volleyball player you need to be powerful, energetic, graceful, and able to handle the ball with finesse. This kind of spectrum of requirements calls for a unique training regimen. There are a lot of different ideas about how to best accomplish this goal, but most coaches and experts agree that it is important to undergo a course of training that includes a wide variety of different kinds of exercises that will help you develop all of these abilities. Training for an upcoming season of competitive court volleyball requires a diverse regimen of strength training, endurance building, and technique improvement.

Many people who want to improve their volleyball game spend a lot of time practicing important moves like serving and spiking the ball. These are the fundamentals of the game, and unless you can serve accurately and spike with a lot of force, you will probably not be able to lend your team very much support. It is important to gain some mastery of these elements of volleyball before you start to focus on other, less crucial aspects of your performance.

Once you have a solid grasp on the key maneuvers of the game, it is time to move on to making sure that you are the strongest, quickest athlete you can be. Having a great spike wont prove to be very useful if you can never get to the ball! It is important to train both the lower and the upper body to be a great volleyball player. You will need strong arms and shoulders in order to send the ball flying, so weight lifting to improve your biceps and other upper body muscles is a key part of any volleyball training regimen. It is also important to spend some time developing your legs and lower body, especially the calves and glutes because this can help you send your jumps sky high. Strong legs are the powerhouse that fuel a good volleyball team member. A player who has the time and dedication to improve all of these different muscle groups will have quite an advantage over a competitor who has concentrated solely on one or the other.

Once you have improved your strength and your skill, it is time to focus on agility. The lighter you can be on your feet, the safer and more effective a player you will become. Court volleyball is very much about being able to move quickly while avoiding collisions with other players. Any volleyball athlete can benefit from improving his or her reflexes.

Most injuries on the court happen when players crash into each other while running, jumping, or diving for the ball. If you can learn to respond instantaneously to the movements of other players you will able to protect yourself and your teammates from this kind of common, and often painful, mishap.

Divisional Outlook – Al East

Most baseball fans thought that this year would be like any other in the AL East – a two-horse race between the reigning super powers in the division, the Yankees and the Red Sox. However, as we approach June, one team is hanging in right with the two favorites and the other two are not out of it yet. This is partially due to the Yankees and Red Sox having somewhat disappointing seasons so far, but regardless, the race could be interesting all the way into October.

Boston Red Sox

Currently:
The Honeymoon season after The Curse was finally vanquished is in the books, and Red Sox fans are hungry for another title. After a drama-filled offseason, the team sits in first place as of this writing, and this is due to an all-around solid, if not spectacular, team effort. Offensively, Mike Lowell and David Ortiz rank in the Top Ten in the AL in several categories, and others are holding up their ends. On the pitching side, Curt Schilling and Josh Beckett are off to strong starts, and the team is ranked 3rd in the AL in both BAA and K/BB.

Outlook:
The team has remained consistent, and if Manny Ramirez turns it on and their other players continue on course, this appears to be the team to beat in the AL East.

New York Yankees

Currently:
The Yankees are staying within striking distance of their archrivals, and theyre doing so with a patchwork outfield due to injuries. Derek Jeter is off to a scorching start, and although Jason Giambis batting average isnt great, he is supplying power and his OBP is outstanding. Young 2B Robinson Cano is beginning to fulfill his promise. The pitching has been decent despite the struggles of Randy Johnson, but Mike Mussina is throwing like an ace.

Outlook:
If the Yankees can get healthy, and Gary Sheffield appears to be close to returning to the battered outfield, Randy Johnson can regain his form and the team string together some wins, the Yankees will be there in the end, as always.

Toronto Blue Jays

Currently:
The Blue Jays are nipping at the heels of the Yankees due to strong starts from young players like RF Alex Rios and veterans like Vernon Wells. Overall, Toronto is doing it with offense, as they lead the AL in team BA and OPS, and rank in the Top 5 in nearly every other offensive category. Outside of Roy Halladay, the pitching has been mediocre at best, but the staff is relatively young and has lots of upside.

Outlook:
If the offense keeps its torrid pace and the pitching comes around in the second half of the season, this division will involve more teams than the Red Sox and Yankees.

Baltimore Orioles

Currently:
This is a team thats staying within shouting distance of the division leaders with two things: Miguel Tejada and overall power. Tejada is having a monster season, sitting in the Top Ten in the AL in seven different offensive categories. As a team, the Orioles are near the top of the AL in home runs. Their ability to manufacture runs, however, has been limited because of the absence of 2B Brian Roberts, the leadoff hitter whos set to return after missing several weeks with a groin injury. In his absence, the Orioles leadoff men are hitting only .198. The pitching, other than Kris Benson, has been a disaster.

Outlook:
If Roberts can help by putting men on base for all the home runs the team has been hitting, the Orioles will score even more. Otherwise, the team needs to find some pitching, as winning 10-9 games is not a successful long-term formula. Despite all of this, the Orioles are far from out of it at this point.

Tampa Bay Devil Rays

Currently:
The Devil Rays are showing signs of life after years of dismal results. The team is getting offensive firepower from young players like Johnny Gomes and Ty Wiggington, but not one of their regulars is batting over .300, which is why the team overall is last in the AL in BA. The teams MVP right now, and the player most responsible for the Devil Rays remaining competitive, is pitcher Scott Kazmir. Hes only 22, and his ERA is a miniscule 2.39 as of this writing.

Outlook:
If
the team can hang in there while their young nucleus continues to mature, the Devil Rays could be playing meaningful games late in the season, which will be a welcome change for local fans.

Bankruptcy Not For The Faint Hearted

Inability or impairment of ability of individuals or organisations to pay off their creditors is known as bankruptcy. Normally individuals and business establishments initiate the process of bankruptcy but sometimes a group of creditors can ask for a declared state of bankruptcy in order to recover money owed to them.

The law of bankruptcy serves the primary purpose of giving a second chance to the honest debtors by relieving them from most of the debts and to enable the debtors to repay the portions of the debts with their available financial resources.

To keep the financial ship from sinking, declaring bankruptcy should be treated as an absolute last resort. This emotionally difficult choice can be carried out through a relatively simple process. Information detailing property, income, creditors and debts should be provided to the court and further collection efforts by the creditors is prevented by the issuance of a notice by the court to the creditors.

Child support, alimony, recently accrued back taxes, loans availed by students, large purchases made recently and penalties or fines of government agencies cannot be evaded by filing bankruptcy.

A negotiation with the creditors to reduce the extent of monthly payments should be explored prior to filing bankruptcy.

Non-exempt assets which can be divided among the creditors are permitted by the laws of bankruptcy. In addition, the bankruptcy declaration permits the debtors to be discharged from most of the financial obligations even if debts are paid in full after the distribution of non-exempt assets. Through a legally binding Stay the debtor is protected from extra bankruptcy action by other creditors. The creditors cannot demand payment, garnish wages or continue with lawsuits.

In its strictest legal sense, bankruptcy relates only to partnerships and individuals in the United Kingdom. Even though various different procedures such as administrative receivership, administration or liquidation are followed in the cases of companies and corporations, it is often wrongly referred as bankruptcy in general conversation and by media.

A licensed insolvency practitioner or a civil servant (official receiver) is usually appointed as a Trustee in bankruptcy cases.

After the introduction of Enterprise Act 2002, a bankruptcy in United Kingdom normally can not last longer than 12 months or less if the Official Receiver files a certificate in the court stating that the investigation is complete.

After the liberalisaion of the bankruptcy regime by the Government it is expected that bankruptcy cases will increase.

Firewall Protection Needed

If youre using the Internet, then you must have a firewall to protect your computer. Its the only sure way to block intruders seeking to access your computer.

Why would someone want to get to your computer? There are many reasons, including stealing credit card numbers or other personal information. Without a firewall, you expose every item located on your computer to the world. Moreover, using a cable or DSL modem places you at greater risk, since youre always connected to the internet.

WHAT YOU CAN DO Its essential to run an updated anti-virus program as well as anti-spyware software; however, this is not enough protection. You must also be sure to have at least one firewall installed and running on your computer. A firewall is an extra layer of security that blocks intruders from accessing files and data on your computer. It acts as a barrier and only allows certain types of information both coming in as well as going out of your network. It has built-in filters which permit only those with permission to enter, limiting access between two or more networks, usually between a private network and a public (untrusted) network, such as the Internet. Firewalls also log attempts of others trying to gain access to your network.

TYPES OF FIREWALLS — A hardware firewall can be installed between your computer network and the outside connection. This is usually used in environments that have many computers networked together, sharing information. For large business environments where maximum protection is essential, it is best to have this type of firewall as well as a software one to prevent your network from attack. A software firewall is simply a program installed and running in the background to prevent the computers from infecting one another, should a virus or other unwanted hazard make its way onto the network.

However, it should be noted that it is not a good idea to run two software firewalls simultaneously as they are likely to conflict with one another. The existing firewall should be uninstalled or disabled before adding a new firewall program. The hardware version is a bit trickier to install but once it is installed it virtually takes care of your computer with no interaction from you. It provides protection and logs information without the user even being aware of its existence; unlike firewalls of the software version which require some interaction. Software firewalls will sometimes ask permission to allow certain programs access, and you must be knowledgeable enough to know what to allow and what to block. But dont worry; an explanation is always included along with a recommendation as to what action to take.

WHERE TO GET FIREWALL PROTECTION — If you are running Windows XP you probably have a built-in firewall as Microsoft included it in the Service Pack 2 update. Although there are more efficient and effective firewalls available, the one Microsoft provides would be better than nothing at all. There are also many fairly effective firewalls offered as freeware and many more for purchase. Whatever firewall you choose to use, you should test it after installation and make sure it is working properly. You can do this at the website listed below.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT FIREWALLS — Microsoft has a very good website explaining about firewalls that can answer any questions you may have about Internet firewalls. It can be found at the following address – http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/protect/firewall.mspx. Another good resource to learn more about firewalls is maintained by Steve Gibson, of Gibson Research Corporation. It can be found at the following address – http://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?rh1dkyd2. You can also test your firewall protection at that site.

Do you know how to search and find what you want?

Recently after designing a website for my family and showing them what terms our website comes under in the search engines, I noticed they don’t really know how to search to find what they want. These are people I thought were pretty computer literate, as they have had a computer as long as I can remember. If my family doesn’t know how to search I am sure there are many other people out there too, who don’t know how to search. Even if you are computer literate, this article will still be beneficial to you as you need to know how to find what you want on the Internet. As you know some of the results are not always what you are looking for.

I recently read a newsletter I had received which had some interesting statistics. Did you know that when a searcher does not find the information they are looking for they believe their keywords are wrong? After you read this article you will be able to find what you want unless it doesn’t exist and chances of that are rare.

How to search within a website
For the remainder of this article we are going to be using Google as an example. Let’s say we are looking at the site www.imaginarysite.com and we want to find what pages have the word “financial” on it. You would type in Google: financial site: www.imaginarysite.com and it would return all the results within www.imaginarysite.com . This would be useful if the website you were looking at did not have a search option.

Finding sites that link to yours or another website
Finding sites that link to your website or a competitors website is an interesting tool. Sometimes the websites linking to your competitors will link to your website also. To search for links you must type link: imaginarysite.com. This will give you the results of all websites with links to your website that have been indexed by Google. If they have not been indexed those websites will not be listed.

Finding definitions
This is an interesting type of search. For example you may be reading a website on marketing and keep seeing the term blog. You have absolutely no idea what a blog is. To find out in Google you would then type define: blog. The best use for this search is with technical terms that you might not know.

Finding exact words
To find exact words that are in that order or grouped together, use quotation marks, for example “website design” or “purple monkey habits”. Personally I find this search the best tools of all. A good use is when searching for articles and I am searching to see how many websites have my article. I would search “search engine basics” (which is the title of the article) and because there are a ton of websites with those three words together, I would add Alicia at the end without the quotation marks. Try it and see what shows up. This is especially useful to find more specific results.

Finding sites with a keyword in the address
To find keywords that are in the url (website address), for example type allinurl:webdesign ; another example would be allinurl:web design. Each example would give you different results. The first example would yield results with webdesign (as one word) in the website address. The second will give you results with web design (with a space between the two words). This search would be especially useful if you were looking for the salon named Pink Lime but, you can only remember that it has pink in the name and that it is a salon. You would enter allinurl:pink, salon, which would return all results with pink in the url and also with the word salon.

Finding your keyword and corresponding synonyms
Use the “~” sign which can be found on your keyboard, you just have to look for it. It can usually be found on the left of the 1 key on your keyboard. It is called the tilde sign. An example would be if you typed ~holistic coach. The results would include holistic coach, natural coach, massage coach and some others.

Searching the web and finding the results you are looking for is sometimes a difficult task. A lot of people search using just two or three keywords, which sometimes does not yield the results you are looking for. The best practice is to search using a couple of keywords and if that does not give you the results you are looking for, try adding another keyword after that until you really get the results you are looking for without having to search through pages of search results.

Nine Kickass Ways To Burn The Flab In Seven Days!

1. Holistic Fitness is crucial: Keep your overall fitness in mind instead of just one facet of it. Realize that there are four major aspects that one work on: aerobic fitness, endurance and muscle strength, body composition and flexibility. Develop and build upon each of these every training day.

2. Focus on the sports objectives: Hone parts of the body which is most used for your primary activity activity. If you play soccer you would want to hammer on endurance, and if you compete at karate you might rather focus on strength training.

3. Tag your girlfriend: Chugging along on the fitness train is simpler when you work with someone. Misery loves company as we know. Draw upon your girlfriends enthusiasm when yours is running low. Youll perk up all the more as she depends on you to motivate her. But before you bring her, ensure that she shares the same goals as yourself.

4. Bring the tape: No, not the VHS, you lazy lump! The measuring tape. Take stock of your stats, including your arms, chest, waist, thighs and wherever else that you are trying to make sexier. Get a habit out of re-measuring once a week. As you admire some measurable results, you motivate yourself all the more!

5. Bring in the Goals: Jot attainable short and long term goals for yourself! Dont just hit the homerun and pat yourself on the back once you reach them. No, I want you to break all stops and reward yourself with something special! But please, dont make the reward something that will be detrimental to your goals, such as chugging down beers or popping tarts into that gut. Make your goals reachable. Set goals that are challenging but not depressing.

6. Time to commit: Set holy appointments with yourself. Can the excuses as to why you cant workout. Jot them on your calendar, highlight them and draw all manner of motivational pix next to them. Stick with it! Respect this time for yourself and let others know about it. When someone asks you out for coffee let them know your workout dates, and ask them to join you. This way people will know that during that time you are unavailable. The moment you accept gut swelling coffee outs, you will postpone future workouts.

7. Reach out and streeeetch: Stretching exercises make any workout easier- it floods your body with happy chemicals like endorphins. Take care to stretch before a workout and afterwards as well.

8. Your Personal Space: Where you run the gauntlet is just as important as what you do. Ensure that you are comfortable and enervated in your chosen workout place. Good places include TV magazines and music. Keep water and fruit bowls within reach. How many times have you used getting drinks as an excuse to stop cardio?

9. Please the lenses: What can be more motivating than before and after shots of people who have lost weight or built muscle? Sheer eye-candy! Now what if photos were of you? You see yourself everyday and sometimes it is easy to forget the old you. Take those photos right now and look at them often. Looking at the before photos and looking in the mirror is not enough. Take after photos every week.

Piano Lessons Using Rocket Piano

Someday I would like to learn to play the piano. I have heard this many times, but somehow time and money seem to get in the way. Now we have a solution to both of those problems. Technology has made it possible for people to realize their dreams. First, digital music has made the inexpensive keyboards of today sound as good as their expensive counterparts of only a few years ago. You can buy a nice keyboard for under $100. Second, the internet has made it possible for the lessons to be delivered to many people simultaneously rather than just one at a time by a teacher in a private studio. The piano lessons can be downloaded for you to use any time it is convenient for you. The delivery of lessons on the internet has made the cost miniscule compared to going to a studio for lessons.

The Healing Effects of an Appropriate Acid Reflux Diet

Acid reflux can become very serious if it is not appropriately treated and can even lead to severe complications. The factors responsible for causing acid reflux are multiple: low pressure in the region of the esophagus, inappropriate activity of the lower esophageal sphincter (a muscular valve at the union between the esophagus and the stomach), excessive production of digestive acid or physiological abnormalities of the esophagus.

Acid reflux may also occur due to inappropriate diet, stress and unhealthy lifestyle. The best way of controlling the condition is through the means of a good acid reflux diet. An appropriate acid reflux diet greatly contributes in preventing and controlling the condition. Due to the fact that excessive production of stomach digestive fluids aggravates the condition, an appropriate acid reflux diet should contain only foods that dont add to the stomachs acidity. A good acid reflux diet should exclude: foods that are rich in fat, citrus foods, tomato products, milk, caffeine-based products, spicy foods, fried foods, peppermint, alcoholic beverages and cigarettes.

First of all, avoid eating large amounts of foods that contain fat. By restricting the amount of fat in your acid reflux diet, you help normalize the activity of the stomach. When large amounts of fat-rich foods are ingested at once, the stomach cant manage to digest it properly and attempts to dissolve it by secreting more digestive acids. Exclude spices and other irritants (preservatives, colorants) from your acid reflux diet and replace fast food with home-cooked meals. Although it is believed that dairy products have a calming effect on the stomach, milk can eventually increase the amount of gastric acid. Milk has a rebound action on the stomach, neutralizing the levels of digestive acid at first, only to increase the amount of digestive acid further on.

It is very important to avoid smoking and the consumption of alcohol. These factors are proved to increase the production of gastric acids inside the stomach and therefore can aggravate acid reflux. Also, try to reduce the consumption of foods and beverages that contain caffeine (coffee, cola, black tea, cocoa, chocolate). Although it is not exactly known how caffeine affects the normal activity of the stomach, it is best to exclude it from your acid reflux diet.

Foods considered to be appropriate for people who suffer from acid reflux are: apples, bananas, cabbage, carrots, beans, peas, potatoes, rice, low-fat meat, bread, pasta and cereals. Include more foods that are rich in carbohydrates in your acid reflux diet (price, pasta, bread, cereals, potatoes) and try to reduce the intake of protein. You may eat light meats such as chicken or fish, but try to place meat products on a secondary level in your acid reflux diet.

Follow a good acid reflux diet and you will quickly improve your condition. In some cases, an appropriate acid reflux diet can even be a substitute for medication.
